What Are AWANA Clubs?

​

Awana stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed”, a phrase taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. It is a worldwide program that fosters disciple-making in children through Scripture memorization, fun activities, and family participation.

Eastside Baptist Church hosts Awana every Wednesday evening for children 3 years old through 6th grade. Each week children can work toward achievement awards by participating in council time, handbook time, and game time.

​

God is literally changing the world through Awana Ministries:

​

• 92% of Awana alumni still attend church weekly or more often.

• Awana alumni are 3.6 times more likely to read their Bible several times a week.

• 70% of Awana alumni say they witness to their friends at least once a month.
