We believe children are very important. Not only are we raising the future church, but also the future for the world. We do not see children's ministry as simply a childcare program. We are helping the next generation to be leaders, influencers, thinkers, and workers for the Kingdom of God. Because of this, we believe in a holistic approach, teaching basic Bible knowledge, doctrine, apologetics, and missions. We want our children to know what they believe, why they believe it, and how to make sense of it in their daily lives.

Sunday School

We are currently using the Answers in Genesis curriculum across all age groups. We believe there is value in everyone learning at the same pace. This curriculum seeks to help children understand the grand narrative off Scripture and its place in history. It also has an apologetics element to develop in children the ability to explain and defend their faith against a secular and increasingly antagonistic culture.

 

We have separate classes for Pre-K and Elementary. Both meet in the Nursery Building behind the sanctuary.

Kids Church

We believe it is important for all ages to gather together for worship as the full body of Christ, and also for children to experience and understand what happens in a worship service. But we also understand that they are not going to have the ability to focus for an entire hour. Therefore, we invite all children to join the adults for the first portion of "big church" on Sunday mornings. Before the sermon, the children will be dismissed for Kids Church, which takes place in the Chapel building.

 

Parents, if you need to walk your child over the first time we understand. Also, children are not required to go. So if your son or daughter is nervous, they are welcome to stay in the service.

The focus of Kids Church is Bible knowledge and application. We want students to have something to take and apply during the week. Topics include: the love of God, living courageously, following Jesus, the armor of God, and many more!

Kids Church is for ages 3 thru 5th grade. They meet together for large group activities and lesson before breaking off into more age appropriate classes for further learning.
