Eastside was originally planted to be a mission on the east side of town. Although we might look different that we did 60 years ago, our mission has not changed. This begins with our immediate neighborhood. We want every neighbor to know that they are prayed for, to know how to become a Christian, and to know that they are welcome at Eastside. 

 

Beyond the church building, every church member is challenged to do the same thing in their own neighborhood. The building might exist on the east side, but the people are scattered all over. We believe in lifestyle evangelism. Meaning, not only are we called to go and make disciples, but also as you go make disciples. Evangelism is not a program that the church organizes and people begrudgingly give up a Saturday for. Evangelism is something that Jesus commands each of us to do as citizens of the Kingdom of God. We are to invite others into this kingdom!

 

At Eastside Baptist Church, we believe that it is the call of every Christian to share the Good News of Jesus. This happens locally, nationally, and internationally. Along with the missions agencies of the Southern Baptist Convention, we have partnered with other individuals and organizations who are seeking to make Christ known all over the world.
